The Environment
April 26th 2009 23:33
Hey People,
How's it going? You having a good day? Good to hear it. Did you know that people are constantly dumping trash and other things into the environment. I know, you'll say "I don't litter!", and walk away. But think about it. Most of us litter every day. We all drive, right? Our cars run on gas, right? Well, most of you know what the fumes from our car do. They float up and destroy the ozone layer. Well, that might be a stretch. It's not proven that the fumes from gasoline and diesel are whats causing the ozone layer to disappear. (The ozone layer's disappearance is what scientists say is causing global warning.) A few things we do know about the fumes is that, when it mixes with clouds, it causes acid rain that can kill fish, destroy crops, and make people's water unsafe and sickening. Also, we know that the fumes cause smog, which hurts our lungs, eyes, and overall lifespan. So walk/bike those two extra minutes to school or work. It can't hurt you, it might even help you. If you live far out, just carpool. Or even things as simple as recycling so that that mini-can of soda you just drank doesn't end up in a landfill, allowing you to not feel guilty next time you pop open a can of root-beer.
P.S.- I just gave you an excuse to not buy gas during this depression (yes, it is a depression)
