Politics and what's not

I remember years ago, I was in taxi to go to the city center (KLCC) with my friends. So, this driver is an Indian uncle. He asked me about politics and I just said to him that I am not interested in neither side nor any political related issues.
Then, he commented on how the youngsters nowadays is not interested anymore in political issues even though political issue is critical. He also added his comments on how his son would gladly skip the politic news parts when he read the newspaper.
Now, when I re-think about it, am I interested in the political issues? I guess the answer would still no. Why? To be honest, it doesn't really matter who's the opposition party and what are the so-called concern issues that they raised or who is their leader and so on..In the end what we should look forward is on how capable our leader is, which is in our case, our dear Prime Minister; Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. He's a capable man and that's the important fact.
But in my honest opinion, I think even though that our current prime minister is capable, our fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir is still on the top of the list. Overall, he's amazing in terms of his leadership, his future vision, his loudness in voicing his thoughts and also his persona.
I'm not a fan of his but I think it was last a year and a half, he gave a speech at our university (he's our dear counselor..guess which university I am XD) and honestly, I was impressed with him. And no, he is not talking any topics related on politics if you're wondering XD
Anyway, back to the topic, why skip the political issues?I used to thought that politics = boring. So, don't blame me. A lot of youngsters nowadays thinks the same to.
As for me, I think politic is important for some parts especially if its related with the business world. Like how the New Economic Model was introduced last year and the progress from it's first quarter compare to the previous year. It was quite amazing and to be honest even my mom was surprised when she called me, and I said I was listening to the live coverage of the New Economic Model announcement by the Prime minister to the parliamentary system. I haven't finished read the New Economic Model book yet since I haven't found the time to do so but I read first half of the page and I would say, the plan is quite daring and bold.
Other than that, I am not interested. Like who win the Sibu election or when would the MCA president would step down. It's a minor issue for me.
Guess my mind is not normal after all XD
